James Hill was one of the featured exhibitors at the sixth annual Moscow House of Photography’s biennial. The festival’s opening night in the GUM department store just off Red Square featured the works of many photographers including American’s Cornell Capa and Anthony Suau. Hill’s elegant photo essay showed the aftermath of 2004’s terrorist siege of the school in Beslan.

Rich Clarkson was the 2007 recipient of the William Allen White National Citation, awarded annually by the University of Kansas School of Journalism. Previous winners included Arthur O. Sultzberger Jr., Bob Woodward, George F. Will, Otis Chandler, Walter Cronkite and Gordon Parks, the only other photographer so cited.

Biscuit Chan, who attended the 2006 Sports Photography Workshop coming from Singapore was one of three photographers who exhibited their pictures from the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, early in 2007. Their work was sponsored by the Singapore Sports Council. Earlier, Biscuit wrote of his workshops experiences in the region’s leading photography magazine.

"The Light Within" an exhibit of black and white photographs by Anne Mueller focuses on the dignity and delight of the residents of Jackson Hole’s St. Johns Medical Center. The exhibit opened January 4 in the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts.
